My mom used to make rice pudding when I was growing up and it was my absolute favorite!

My siblings and I would wait patiently for the rice to cook, for the pudding to bake, and then finally for it to cool off enough for us to eat it.

Just like my moms rice pudding, this tea is sweet and creamy with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.

Preparation: Use 1 tsp per 8 oz cup. Steep 4 minutes using 195F water.

Ingredients: Oolong tea, cinnamon pieces, organic coconut, nutmeg, natural flavors.

Caffeine Level: Low

Delightful Oolong!

I love an oolong, and my mother used to make rice pudding for our family dessert...and this tea sure brings me great delight! I value high quality base teas in blends - this oolong base is very good. The cinnamon and coconut are perfectly balanced. I love the cinnamon scent and lingering taste. I always add creamer to my teas, but no sweetener. And, I let oolongs come to room temperature to get the full flavor profile. Check this one out!

This tea surprised me when I brewed it. From first smelling the package to once it was steeped, I was not expecting the amount of sweetness it had. It reminds me a lot of a milk oolong (one of my absolute favorites) at a much more affordable price-tag. I look forward to experimenting with this blend!

Dessert Oolong

As a lover of both rice pudding and oolong in general, this was a must try for me. I’m not sure of the type of oolong used in this but it is a nice green one—possibly a tie guan yin. There are also a fair amount of coconut pieces. It brews up a tad darker than I was expecting. She does a great job of blending this so that the oolong is still the star of the show. The flavors don’t overpower it so you can still taste a nice amount of the the complexity of the oolong including the creaminess in the mouthfeel. It is complemented by a very pleasant aftertaste that is led by cinnamon in the flavor profile but when you balance that with the creaminess from the oolong, I’ll be darned if it doesn’t remind me of Rice Pudding! Great job! I drank an entire 5 cup pot of this in a day with maybe 3-4 pieces of small rock can sugar in the entire pot! Delicious!
