So refreshing ICED!

I rarely drink oolong iced. In my opinion, it is easier to enjoy the complexity of the oolong as a hot drink. So, of course, this started out as a hot drink. It’s tasty. When it’s hot you can get a bit more of the lemongrass and ginger in the flavor profile though the coconut is the star. However, I got busy and didn’t slurp the last bit of it down before it cooled to room temp. As I headed to replenish my cup as a hot drink, I decided to taste it to make sure it hadn’t gotten bitter or anything. It was just as good, if not better than it was when it was hot. I decided to ice it. The coconut takes center stage, but isn’t so overt that you don’t know that’s it’s married with oolong. The ginger and lemongrass fall off a bit as a cold drink. The coconut and oolong pairing iced is a divine concoction. I infused the leaves twice and the coconut still managed to stay in the forefront. NOBODY pulls off a delicious coconut flavor like The Necessiteas. I’ll be sipping on this all summer long!
